Magento 2 Cheque Payment User Guide

Scriptzol Cheque Payment Extension allows user to place orders via Cheque Payment. It can be easily used by both user and the admin. It is also helpful for the people who dont have any online payment transaction accounts.

Installation Steps

Buyers will get a Zip file, they have to unzip / extract the file to their system. The uncompressed folder will have a folder called Scriptzol and you need to transfer the Scriptzol folder to your Magento 2 root directory /app/code/.

After the successful transfer, buyers have to run the following commands in the Magento 2 root directory with the help of terminal.

• php bin/magento setup:upgrade
• php bin/magento setup:di:compile
• php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy

After the commands running successfully, need to flush the cache in admin panel.

Configuration Steps

Multiple Languages

To configure in multiple languages, Under Store > Configuration > General > Locale in admin panel, select the language which needed.

Translation of Languages

For translation of the content in the module, In the “app/code/Scriptzol/Chequepayment/i18n” folder, need to add the file. To add a file for specific language, for eg.arabic for Saudi Arabia, ar_SA.csv is the file name format.

General Configuration

To enable / disable the Cheque Payment , navigate to Stores > Configuration > Sales> Payment Methods > Other Payment Methods.

Payment Configuration

There will be options for country restrictions toggle, Bank accounts configuration, Displaying the Payment Method according to Minimum and maximum total order value configuration.

Front end

In frontend, the Cheque payment will be displayed on the checkout page if the cart total reached minimum order total.

Once the order placed, user have to navigate to My account > Cheque payment Orders History to confirm the payment by the transaction id

Admin Panel

Admin can view the payment details on Sales > Orders > Sale order which you selected > Information > Payment & Shipping method , as the default shipping and updation process, you can Ship the product and update the order status.
